Elsita Mathew, MSN, FNP-C, is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in cardiovascular and vascular medicine. With a clinical career spanning over two decades and roots in some of the world’s most demanding healthcare environments, she brings a wealth of knowledge, skill, and genuine compassion to every patient encounter.
Elsita earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Honors) from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi—one of the most prestigious and competitive medical institutions in the world—where she also began her nursing career in the emergency ward of one of India’s busiest tertiary care hospitals. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration from California State University, Bakersfield.
Elsita specializes in the diagnosis and management of cardiac and vascular diseases, working in close collaboration with cardiologists and interventional radiologists to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care. She oversees exercise and pharmacological stress testing, ankle-brachial index (ABI) assessments, and vascular ultrasounds.
She is also highly skilled in a full range of advanced vein procedures performed in the vein lab, including Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation, Mechanochemical Ablation (MOCA), Varithena, VenaSeal, Foam Sclerotherapy, and Ambulatory Phlebectomy. These minimally invasive treatments offer patients effective, often immediate relief from venous insufficiency and varicose veins—making a meaningful difference in their comfort and quality of life.
Elsita believes in treating the whole person, not just the condition. Her approach combines personalized, evidence-based medicine with genuine compassion, empathy, and clear communication—because she knows that the best outcomes happen when patients feel truly heard and understood.
Her passion for cardiovascular care is deeply personal. Having lost her father to a myocardial infarction at a young age, she was driven to pursue this field with a sense of purpose that goes beyond the clinical. She wants every patient to leave her office feeling trusted, respected, and confident in their care.

Outside of her practice, Elsita enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling to new places, and listening to music. She has also served as a TV news anchor, bringing the same poise and clear communication to the airwaves that she brings to her patients every day. She is fluent in English, Hindi, and Malayalam.
