Elsita Mathew is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) with extensive experience in cardiac and vascular care. She currently practices at the Heart, Vascular & Leg Center in Bakersfield, California, where she provides specialized patient care in collaboration with cardiologists and interventional radiologists.

With a strong background in diagnostic testing and vascular procedures, Elsita is responsible for conducting patient evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans. She has expertise in exercise and pharmacological stress testing, ankle-brachial index (ABI) assessments, and vascular ultrasounds. Additionally, she performs advanced venous procedures, including Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation, Mechanochemical Ablation (MOCA), Venaseal, Foam Sclerotherapy, and Ambulatory Phlebectomy.

Elsita began her career as a Registered Nurse at San Joaquin Community Hospital, working in a busy telemetry unit. Prior to that, she served in the emergency ward at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, India, one of the country’s leading tertiary care hospitals.

She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner) from California State University, Bakersfield, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from AIIMS, New Delhi. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and PICC line insertions.
