Dr. Newton Phuong is a dedicated interventional cardiologist with a strong background in cardiovascular research and patient care. He completed his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Vermont, where he also trained in Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship. His Internal Medicine Residency was at the University of Southern California (USC), following his Doctor of Medicine degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Phuong has an extensive research background, having worked on transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, and cardiovascular pharmacology. He has collaborated with leading researchers and published numerous peer-reviewed articles in top cardiology journals.

Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, Dr. Phuong holds additional certifications in Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiac Computed Tomography. He is an active member of professional societies, including the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.

His contributions to the field have been recognized with multiple honors, including the Einstein Senior Research Fellowship and UC Davis Outstanding Performance in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology award. Dr. Phuong is also committed to medical education and has presented his research at major cardiology conferences.
