Bakersfield is not a second-tier city for vascular care. It never should have been. We built HVLC to change that.
Why Bakersfield
In 1992, Dr. Vinod Kumar chose Bakersfield to bring advanced vascular care closer to a community that needed it. He built HVLC to close the gap between local patients and specialist treatment.
Today, HVLC provides minimally invasive outpatient care across four Kern County locations. Many patients avoid major surgery, hospital stays and long-distance travel, returning home the same day. Because quality care should be available where you live.

Every procedure at HVLC is performed at our clinic at 5020 Commerce Drive, Bakersfield. You do not need to navigate a hospital system, find a specialist who has hospital privileges, or worry about a facility bill arriving weeks after your procedure. Our clinic is self-contained evaluation, imaging, and treatment all happen here. For most patients, that also means no overnight stay, no general anaesthesia, and no complicated recovery. You come in the morning and go home that afternoon.
