Education and Training
Dr. Ali Ghorbani attended the University of Miami, and completed medical school at Barry University. He graduated from the residency program affiliated with Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara and completed his fellowship at University Foot and Ankle Institute, where he trained under respected foot and ankle specialist Dr. Bob Baravarian. During his fellowship, Dr. Ghorbani focused on minimally invasive procedures including tenex and arthroscopics, as well as reconstructive surgeries of the foot and ankle.

Dr. Ali Ghorbani was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where he learned to appreciate the wonderful cultural diversity found in the area. Because of his multicultural interest, Dr. Ghorbani studied many languages, and as a result, speaks English, Spanish and Farsi. As an avid hiker, Dr. Ghorbani enjoys getting out of town and into nature. He seeks out new hiking trails to feed his passion for exploration and “Conquering the Mountain”. He also enjoys reading, and expressing his creative side through cooking.

A devoted basketball fan and player since age seven, Dr. Ghorbani knows his way around the basketball court. More importantly, his basketball experience helps him relate to patients dealing with sports related foot and ankle problems. His passion for helping athletes get back into the game shows anytime he talks about his practice. “Every day, patients come limping into my office. To watch them walk back out again – without pain is the greatest reward!”

Dr. Ghorbani’s clinical expertise in plantar fasciitis, trauma, sports injuries, wound care and limb salvage is an excellent fit for the needs of local patients, from professional athletes to diabetic foot patients.
